2018 Ceja Vineyards Oxomo Red Wine Napa Valley

Vinum, cantus, amor..... wine, song, love. Not only are those words on the bottles but they are the trademark of the Ceja Family. Appropriately on this fall night it was a red wine to save the day.

Tonight's wine was the 2018 Oxomo Red Wine a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The nose shows nicely with deep rich dark berry aromas, a hint of cloves with a touch of blueberry. The longer you allow this wine to open the aromas marry together and soften.

The mouth is full of ripe fruit with clusters of blackberry, dark cherry, hints of raspberry and blueberry and a kiss of spice on the long silky finish. One of my favorite wines in the Napa Valley and the Ceja portfolio.

The holidays are coming so swing by their website and order your Ceja Vineyards wines by clicking the Shop Ceja Wines link to fill your cellar.

2018 Pedroncelli Petite Sirah Sonoma County Dry Creek Valley

Sipping this family wine always brings a smile to my face. Lush ripe fruit, flavor profiles that treat the palate, food friendly with a wide array of pairings and you guessed it Pedroncelli Winery would be one of my go to wines on a daily basis. 90 years growing grapes and making wine this family has perfected the art.

Tonight I popped open the 2018 Pedroncelli Petite Sirah. The moment the wine hits the glass the intense ripe dark fruit hits your nose with hints of sliced plums and a toasty oak nuance. I could swirl and sniff this wine all day.

The mouth is equally as nice with deep cherry notes followed by a combination of creamy blueberry, juicy plum and vanilla bean. The finish is long with a complimentary toasty barrel spice and hint of oak. Such a great wine for pairing or drinking on it's own. I paired this with a beef tenderloin and what a compliment the fruit was to the steak.

2018 Pedroncelli Cabernet Sauvignon Dry Creek Valley Three Vineyards

Rock solid Cabernet from your friends and Pedroncelli Winery. The 2018 priced at $22 (a steal for a cabernet of this quality) shows aromas featuring clusters of dark berries, dried herbs and earthy notes. The mouth is lush with cherry, plum, blackberry, a dusting of mocha and dried herbs and a long finish with just a hint of spice. Drink this wine now or lay it down for several years in the cellar. Don't miss an opportunity to add a few bottles for your sipping pleasure.

Paired with a filet mignon, rosemary potatoes and salad. Perfecto!

2018 Knotty Vines Pinot Noir

Took this wine on my trip to Northern Wisconsin and enjoyed while on vacation overlooking the harbor. Pairs well with wood fired pizza in case you were wondering.

The 2018 Knotty Vines Pinot Noir a lively wine with notes of black cherry, plum, red berry clusters, toasted vanilla and a slight hint of oak.

The mouth is lush and fresh with juicy dark cherry, pomegranate, soft plum, intense red berries with a hint of vanilla and oak. The finish is long, silky and soft. A powerful little wine for $15 that won't break the bank. Clink the link Knotty Vines Pinot  to order yours today.
